What every country profile contains

Country risk assessment

An overall level and seven category ratings: security, political and civil unrest, terrorism, crime, medical and health, transport and road safety, and operational disruption.

Rationale, sources and dates

Every rating shows why it was given, what it is based on, when it was assessed and whether it has been reviewed. Where we have not assessed something, we say so.

Safety and travel advice

Preparation, entry, movement, accommodation, legal and cultural considerations and medical readiness, with links to official travel advisories.

What it means for operations

Implications for business travellers, offices, project sites, field visits, contractor movements and business continuity.

Culture, health and emergency contacts

A culture brief, what to avoid, vaccinations, AxsuR-assessed hospitals and emergency numbers.

Traveller briefing

A downloadable PDF for travellers with practical advice, culture, health, hospitals and emergency numbers. It contains no risk ratings, so it is safe to carry.

A rating scale you can check

We publish the scale and the method behind it. A rating is a starting point for a decision: read the category ratings and the rationale, and check the assessment date.

Read the methodology
